Hi. I have a 440 loader on my 970 tractor. It has severe corrosion on the loader mounting point where the wheel weights would normally hang. Because of this I can't operate the massively rusted bar which disengages the loader from the nose of the tractor. My plan is to unbolt this "nose piece assembly" and refurbish it. What will happen when I remove this piece? Will the loader bucket and arms stay put or somehow squash me like a bug? I understand the previous owner handled lots of fertilizer which created all of the extreme rust.
