I believe in overkill and love a great piece of machinery. Looking for advice from you guys who have the experience that I lack. I have not owned a zero turn before and am looking to purchase in the next couple of days.

Bad Boy ZT Elite with Kawasaki FR730, 3100 hydros, 48" deck, 7 gauge deck
Cub Cadet ZT2 with Kawasaki FR691, 2800 hydros, 50" deck, 11 gauge deck

I might pull a cart with rock etc for one or two projects as the house is new and the backyard isn't finished. No bagger is planned, living in GA and mulching is the way to go. There is a price difference in the two machines because I was not able to find a Cub with the Kawasaki in their ZTX line up that was comparable in price to the Bad Boy ($5200)

I also noticed that the 3100's in the Bad Boy have cooling fans on them. I won't be pushing the mowers or mowing commercially to my knowledge.

Would like to hear your thoughts and ideas, heck throw a different brand in the mix if you feel it's stellar.

Thanks

In case anyone was on the edge of their seat, I went back and looked at all the mowers again. Gravely/Ariens didn't seem that the build quality/ability to work on it easily when it needs maintenance/parts was where I hoped it would be. Cub Cadet was very close to what I need/wanted. Somehow that 7 gauge deck and front suspension won out.

Only down side is it's a 54" instead of the 48". Squeezed the trigger and drove 2 hours each way to pick it up as very few dealers have them with Kawasaki's due to a shortage.

Here it is:

2503220

Came fully fueled up and ready for acres of mowing. Took it off the trailer and mowed the lawn at 2.5" per the setting. 2.5" seemed rather low and I'll be checking the deck height settings soon. Overall very happy with the first mowing! Seems to be built like a tank and ready to take on the world of lawn.
