I have a 1978 444 with PTO last picture, and need to make a PTO bracket for my 1982 446. The P.O. had one wired to it. :banghead3 I have since added a cab to the 446 for winter and will remove it in the summer. My question here would be will the PTO clear the cab ? Here are pictures as to what I have to work with. I just want to clean up the PTO on the 446 and sell the 444. Now is the time to get it on E-BAY, spring is around the corner.

Thanks for the help.

I'm not sure that I understand your question. If the Cab is mounted on the 446 and the PTO is already plumbed in, as it appears to be, why can't you lift it up there into place and determine if it is going to hit the Cab ? If it doesn't, fabricate a bracket. if it does, you will most likely need different lines or something .... JMHO

I had to remove the PTO as the PO had no clue how to do it right. The PTO and tubing appears to have been from a short frame tractor and it leaked at every fitting. He ever cut a notch in the frame at the control valve that I also have to repair. Been debating on mounting the PTO valve on top of the fender inside the cab.

There are a couple holes in the cab at the location of where the PTO mounts for a reason. The one hole is to allow clearance for the PTO valve body it's self. The other is for the lever to come up inside the cab. Now that is all providing that you use the style mounting bracket as on your other tractor.

I'm a fairly new guy here, so remember, be nice! :howdy:

But, just in looking at the photos ...is the seat causing an interference and not allowing the valve body/handle to be mounted in the stock arrangement?

Just a thought.:hide:

OK, thanks, I can swap the seats, The control handle hangs off to the side on the 444but looks like it can be adjusted. I will get it mounted up and get hoses made. Garden will need tilled soon.

thanks
