My first recommendation would be to get the JD service manual, it will show how to change it. If you don't want to spend the money then you might try looking at the online parts manual and see if you can make out what you need to do. Normally, these require removal of seat pan, wheels and remove any belts. Connections to brakes and clutch need to be released and any shifter linkage. Once those are done you will need to take out bolts mounting to frame. Hopefully someone will come along that has done this and give you more specific info, this was just general info.
