You buy a new cylinder and throw the old one away. How good is that for the environment? If propane was a good alternative, it would be much more widely used as a transportation fuel.

They should make the tank refillable from a 20lb bbq tank that would make more sense. A buddy of mine has an adapter for filling the small torch tanks from a 20lb bbq tank, not legal but works like a charm and saves big money!!
And I also like 2 strokes, for small stuff like a trimmer most people would never change the oil or nevr refill the crank case and blow them up any way, so they might as well be 2 stroke and keep more of them out of the land fills.

Buy a Stihl 4-Mix and you won't have to worry about oil changes or oil checking.
