This just jumped out at me... never saw one before, thought maybe someone with one of the yellow-top promo mowers would want it.

I saw that as well but didn't put two and two together that this was a Promo bag. That metal piece shown in the last photo would not be correct for a Promo mower. That is used with the newer style side discharge chutes that use the slide on plastic frame bags Bill.

Its sold now so no worries... but I'm confused

I thought the slide-on kind had a big black plastic handle on top... that metal piece maybe went inside the small end of the bag to clip it on?

Hi! The metal piece clips inside the opening of the chute on the newer style chutes that use the slide on bag with the black plastic handle. It is for support. The metal piece can be removed in order to use the old style wire frame bags. Bill

I see someone on the forum bought this for their newly acquired Promo mower with a thanks to PeoriaMurph for the heads up.

That bag is not for the promo R7070 model. That model came with a standard rear bagger hence the R in the model number. I think these were used on the steel deck machines however I have to check.

I guess if the original style rear bag is hard to find and this is not going to be a trailer queen restore but rather a daily mower, then the yellow and green side bag should look pretty nice on there. It would be nice for reference to know what that bag was offered on. Bill

Yes, I was the one that bought it, I figured getting that bag and a bag rod would be easier then finding the right bag and mounts for the r7070.
