Starts and dies, will only run if In spray either in the carb. Took the carb. apart and cleaned it, same result, runs and dies. There is a white plastic piece on the carb. that looks like it had a hose attached. Carb. is pretty cheap so should I just replace he carb?

It's hard to come up with a simple fix when one has no clue WHAT ENGINE you have.
If a Briggs, provide Model & Type#'s.

SORRY! Briggs 140 cc, Can't find mtr. mod.#, but some#'s are: 382037, Ser.# 14 0304 51 24575.

You're going to need Briggs part# 799583. These plastic carbs are a pain and I usually just replace them instead of trying to mess around with em.

X2 Those carbs are not worth messing with. The engine numbers will be stamped into the valve colver and will look something like Model 9P702 Type 0015-G1.
