Poulan vs. Craftsman

I picked up a freebee Poulan from the local Free cycle. Seems to have a blown 14.5 HP briggs on it.

I will get pics/numbers tomorrow, but am I right in understanding that this is pretty much the craftsman/husky/ayp mower?

I am not really interested in doing much with the tractor but giving it to an elderly neighbor who's been looking for a project to build, but the 42" mowing deck is in pretty good shape.

I see the 42" Craftsman decks go for a pretty penny on Ebay and this looks just like those and seems to work/move freely.

So is there a way to tell if this deck will work with the Craftsman 42" tractors?
