Since we have a lot of bird related threads, it would be nice to be able to browse through them in one thread. We'll see if it takes :D

This is a Black-capped Chickadee near Edmonton, Alberta Canada. Tough little bird that can handle the winter temperatures down to the -40's.

I cheated. It was captive.
I did get a few good pics from about 35-45 feet away from the deck of the Aleutian Ballad, though. Captain Derick (yes, I'm namedropping, shamelessly) was hucking pieces of fish over the deck, and a local eagle would swoop down and snag them out of the water. The seagulls kept their distance from him.
I'll have to see if I can get one or two of those pics. They were pretty cool.

Someday I'll post a photo showing the damage the pileated woodpeckers can do on trees. Picture a 4"wide x 8" high x 6" deep hole. Luckily they mostly go after dead or dying trees where the bugs have infested the tree.

Well here are my pictures. Mostly of my feeder birds. I have tons of them!
While delivering ,I drove by a lake and this guy flew out with this fish! I took tons of pictures from firehouse parking lot. Firemen asked for copies, which I gave them.

Some of my feeder area with new Nikon P530 dad bought me for Christmas.

On our vacation in Wellsboro PA last year came upon this Bald Eagle nest on rail trial.

Had quite the surprise this morning! This Sharp shinned hawk or small Cooper's hawk was on the roof of my porch as I came around to feed the birds! It flew when it saw me but not flying far from me and flew back to other trees close to me! I shooed it away as it saw a Chickadee right by it in tree and I wasn't wanting that sight in front of me! It flew across the street to tree and I took pictures with the camera Dad retrieved for me when he saw what was going on!
