I took of my one arm loader off the 641, the hose is marked 3/8, but I need to plug the female end that is on the tractor, it is dribbling fluid so I temporarilly plugged with a piece of cloth. Measuring the OD of the male fitting on the hose comes out to .66 inches, im just wondering if I could use a JIC 3/8 plug? Also their are two auxillary hoses on the back with quick connects on, they are old and plugged with some old rubber plugs, however I have noticed one of those plugs wet with fluid. Could this cause a leak in the hydraulic lift arms on the back of the tractor?

You are not providing enough info to elicit a good answer. What SPECIFIC port are you trying to plug.. is it something on the tractor itself.. something on a hyd valve?.. if a valve.. is it an oem style top cover valve, or and add on generic valve.

many valves have 3/8 orb ports on them.. that's like a 9/16 bolt ( straight ) thread, and would require an orb fitting.. guess you could take a 1/2" long bolt and slip a oring over it and screw it in.. however a better soloution would be to get an orb to jic adapter, screw the orb portion into the valve, and then grab a jic cap.

if your loader is instead plumbe into a small option cap on the top of the hyds top cover.. it's siply a pipe plug thread.. etc.

depends on how the remotes are plumbes as to whether they will let your 3pt lift leak down while raised.. if they are parallel yes.. if off a valve.. then likely no.

need more info!!

looks pretty clear to me that it's a pipe thread..probably 3/8.... (you don't use teflon tape on orb ports.. they seal by oring.. pipe thread seals by thread deformation.. ).... besides.. that hardware store street 'ell' is pipe for sure..
