As I promised last week, here is a picture of the tractor I bought. I picked it up from a friend for $1100, along with a 4' hog, 6' blade and auger bit.
Still have a few cosmetic things to take care of as you'll see in the photo.
The tractor hadn't ran in 3 years, so I knew I was in for a challenge.
Changed all oils (tranny/hydraulics 2 times), completely overhauled the ignition system with all new everything, rewired the whole thing and lucked out on a sticky valve in the hydraulics. Replaced faulty oil pressure gauge and amp gauge with volt gauge and left rear inner tube. All in all, I feel like even though I dumped an extra $400 or so fixing it up that I done pretty good. I was able to blade my very rough back yard in about 30 minutes and that alone would have been a nightmare on my front end loader on my Terramite backhoe.
A big thanks to all who helped me along the way with advice. As of right now, everything works on the tractor as new (knocking on wood of course). Hard to say that about many 69 year old machine.
Next project - right rear wheel seal leaking...NO BRAKES...yikes.
