Never can tell if it is a true Deere cart, but the red may be primer.
True !! but I have restored my Model #80 and #50 of the 80's ( looks like this only stronger, why I think this is NOT JD) and no red primer. but the john deere decal looks legitNot sure if red primer was ever used. With that said back in the day red lead paint was used in many applications and is very resistant to corrosion. it is not legal to use now.
i was going to comment that the decal looks legit as well :trink40:True !! but I have restored my Model #80 and #50 of the 80's ( looks like this only stronger, why I think this is NOT JD) and no red primer. but the john deere decal looks legit
No it doesn't!!! Look at the angled front corner or as I pointed out the tip mechanism etc.you know... that looks like a #50 cart with a home made axel set up almost (?)
And in the first set of pics the rear is BENT ( cheap thin metal ) JD 50's don't bend unless they are hit by a Kenworth or a CAT not KATT !!!!!!!:sorry1:Katt, I see what your talking about.
It's not a 50 for sure!
