I bought this a few weeks ago for $400.00 with two N44 decks and 1 - 1/2 sets of hub caps. He also threw in an extra mule drive. One deck is in great condition the other will need some help.
It barely ran, the points were corroded so bad I can't believe it ran when I was looking at it. It had a Nicky carb on it that was (not original) just not matched up properly and various other things ready to go bad. So I took it home and replaced the fuel line, carb with the proper new one, replaced the plugs, points, condenser, plug wires, coil, and changed some fluids. The verdict! A descent running 226 that is ready for work. :fing32:
It's not running super, but it should go awhile until I get time to rebuild it or find a replacement. :)praying:Onan 20hp) :fing32:

My future plans are to make this one my "hot rod" so to speak. More on that in an up and coming thread.

Couldn't help but notice(atleast from your posted pics)how nice that white seat looks as far as the condition. If you're doing a restore job for the black-framed models I would think a fairly nice condition white seat would be as important as the white implements...? Nice find!!! -Jon

Nice find, that tractor looks sharp. Is there a chute missing on the side of the deck?
I have the chutte, just not bolted on yet.
I mowed with it some but realized I have to replace the center pulley and spindle as the pulley (wrong one) was loose on the shaft and made a mess of things. This is what happens when people don't buy the proper replacement parts and jimmy rig things. :banghead3

Yes I agree... I was fortunate enough to find a white high back seat for my 446 restoration and this one is a low back and is in great shape. If you notice the one pic I have a black seat on it as the white one I put in storage so it don't get wrecked.

Thanks for the comments. :fing32:
