I decided to fire up my backyard fire pit with some oak and apple wood and throw on a few porterhouse steaks, the little lady did some potatoes in the cast iron skillet and made some cheesey garlic bread. A tall cold lager topped it all off! Not a bad way to spend a Saturday night.:trink40:

I had porterhouses tonight as well. I cooked some onions and mushrooms with butter to put on top. Tasty! Finished it off with a 12yr old scotch and pipe smoke.

Those look good! Would love the recipe for the cheese bread and taters, too. Bet it was good.

Hi there bgrindle,
- love your fire pit idea / nice job, turned out awesome !!

U gave me the idea 2 build 1 this summer now, w/scrap steel, on hand...

I BBQ alot over the summer - pic. of my handwork and sauces follow:
p.s. - now doing steaks medium well instead of well done (but some like no red showing)

Holy Sheet man......Well.....Let see.....At least your Orange Nova was better than my POS semi-green semi-primer Ford Granada.

How many brother in laws (BIL) does your brother Brian have?
