Well here is a pic of the tractor I bought for the wheel weights. Other than taking off the weights, I havnt touched it. White paint is showing through the green. The ser# says 1969 they didnt have special ser#s for that year.

So what do ya think is it a patio?

Just from looking at your pic it's probably a patio with the white wheels and white paint. Many of the patios were painted green when they figured out they couldn't sell them. slkpk

Well I sanded through the paint and looked under the rubber lever grips and its white. I sanded spots and its white then a brown primer then steel. So it must have been one painted at the dealer or someone really took their time to paint under it. I just dont want anybody thinking its a fake! How do you think I can prove that? Also thanks for the replies!

If it's a 1969, you can't prove it by serial #. The hood fiberglass should be tinted on the underside. They actual resin used in the patio hoods was colored to roughly match the outer painted color. I've had two 1969 patios painted green, and they really aren't worth the hassle, unless you have the correct seat and hood. My patio is green and gets used to shove snow in the winter. After pricing the correct seat and hood, you may decide that the whole patio thing is grossly overrated. You'd be surprised how many restored patios have green hoods that have been painted, and/or dyed yellow seat covers. If you have to do that, it really may as well be a patio clone anyway.
