Well he's correct that if it's a patio attachment it should be white. I will defer to the patio experts on the SN question but I don't believe that the patio attachments were given unique SN's but I could be wrong. We buy those blades around here all the time in good condition for $100 - $150. The 80 trailer certainly looks pretty good though and would be worth about $350 - $450 the way it's setting!

Don't think there is a serial number break to be able to tell...

Sounds like from the ad the fellow has no Idea... "painted green and yellow instead of white and a color of either yellow, Blue, Red, or Orange" they were all white. To me it sounds like he is trying real hard to talk it up making it sound rare...

The cart is nice ... but not $500 nice. :D

Here's what an original patio blade looked like, paint-wise.....

I agree, doesn't sound like he knows what they looked like originally...

So, unless he's willing to let you chip off some of the paint to see if there's white underneath, I agree, I don't think there's any way to tell... Perhaps Sergeant has some thoughts on that

That was my thought. For $500 it better have 2 gold plated hydraulic cylinders on it

I don't think the attachment serial number would tell you. I could be wrong but I have a '69 112 Patio and in the database over at WFM it shows up as a regular ole 112.

IMHO his pricing is beyond steep on both items. How can you talk of selling a vintage "mint" patio blade when it's not even the right color?! Patience will find you a model 80 cart for a lot less than that too.

Patio tractors had their own serial number sequence from the second year on. I don't know about the attachments. I'll try to get the serial number off of my patio 37A blower so we can compare.

I'm thinking that like 69' patios the serial numbers on the implements that year may not call out for custom color. Not sure about later years.
