i finallly got to push my first snow fall today about 6" not alot but i was a little upset i'll have to post pics of the tractor. i am running a 4200 with and 8' front blade. and no tire chains for the start of the season. i added rear ballest instead of the rear blade. from the previous post i read i was thinking i had enought weight but the r4 tires just dont seam to do the job.

the other half of the story is my dad doesn't have the touch i do with the front blade and i had to redo his plow job. i have the cutting edge set up and 1.25" and that wasnt enought for him and when he angled the blade dang he ripped in to every thing.

this is my 2nd year running a front blade so i am getting used to how it works and i am finding out that running it not angled really does a great job.

so if anyone on has PA or any good plow stories please post

winter is my fav time of the year besides hay season :thThumbsU:trink39:

Minimal dusting of snow here in the SE corner. About 16° now, but mid-20°'s this afternoon. I used the advantage of frozen lawn and the dusting to drag an old telephone pole across it to a more suitable long term storage place. I keep the tractor in my garage, and had no problem starting it. Temp in garage probably was high 30°'s so no real test of battery.
Forecast for a fresh dusting again in the morning, maybe I'll pull another load of firewood out and split it to keep warm.

Good luck sorting out your plowing. Are you having problems with keeping an 8' blade level when it is angled?
