I probably won't get the end doors on my new shop built and put on before Christmas and we get the worst of our winters here between Jan. and April. So I may be storing a 60-inch deck, rear grading blade, and front center blade in the shop which could remain open on one end for at least a few winter months. I plan on tarping this stuff, but what's the best over-wintering grease/protectant to use on moving parts? I used up Dad's old tub of cosmolene years ago. Axle grease? White engine building grease? Needs to be easily removed come spring.

I spray everything with 5w30 through a HVLP paint gun. I don't clean it off though, I'd just as soon the rust proof layer stays as long as possible
