The 51 brooms have been good, but it was time for an upgrade. This 60hd is huge compared to the old unit (much larger diameter). Can't wait to try it out. More pics/vids to come when it stops raining!

Are you using the broom for snow? The 51 brooms have been good, but it was time for an upgrade. This 60hd is huge compared to the old unit (much larger diameter). Can't wait to try it out. More pics/vids to come when it stops raining!

It'll be going on the x748. I doubt the 455 would have any issues with it having loaded rear tires and 6 suitcase weights, but the full time 4x4 will be a little more "in charge" of the situation. :fing32:What tractor are you running it on? Deere doesn't recommend the 60 on the 425-455 series. I'm not sure why? I know it's a beast on my X585, I had to install 2 additional 50 pound wheel weights in addition to the starter weights to keep the rear tires on the ground.
Gravel that has been pushed into the grass from blading?...mbrun- mainly for sweeping rocks out of the grass and occasionally sweeping concrete driveways/sidewalks....
Yep, there's usually quite a bit even if you're careful (especially with the pickup plow). Although, we didn't get squat for snow this year. It's amazing how much rock you can put back on the driveway in short order (what used to be hours with a rake is minutes with the broom). Hopefully I can get some video this weekend.Gravel that has been pushed into the grass from blading?
I hadn't gotten that far to figure that out, but that's definitely good to know. And the best thing about the 60 brooms is that they use 8x26 wafers which are a very common size compared to the 4.5x18 that the 51's use.
So the consumer has multiple choices when it's time to change wafers.
