Hi everyone,

A brother-in-law is looking at a 1700 Mustang skid loader. This one has a V-4 Ford gas engine and has a torque converter.
I believe the torque converter is used for the variable speed. The person trying to sell it said, "The throttle on the right hand grip doesn't work right."

Does anyone have any experience with this type of loader?
Is it a diamond in the rough? Or, is it an orphan with no parts available that a person should run from?

Thanks in advance for any guidance.

2 problems with them,1-- v-4 FORD engine (other brands use v-4 Wisconsin) ---2--- Mustang is a real orphan! In the last 2 years I have seen a couple around here advertised for sale but priced way too high.
Unless its junk priced or less, I would walk. ---- that way you don't lose too much on the deal if you can't fix it. Parts are not to be had for these.
