oliver 550 pitman arms

What type of puller would you use to pull pitman arms off steering box? There is no room between pitman arm and steering box for jaws to fit. Thought about taking some 3/8 plate and milling a hole then cutting 2 pieces to fit pitman arms then welding them on for a place to pull on?

pickle fork? But that would put a fair bit of stress on the steering box.
welding on some stubs for a puller to pull on sounds like a good idea. Or with holes if you need to fashion a puller yourself.

id try a pitman arm puller they are short
but never a pickle fork
would hate to take a box off but may need to
