What is the proper gas/oil ratio to run in my 6255 commercial brick and my 7256? 16:1? I use Lawn-Boy Generation 2 ashless oil btw. And, for the C engines, I know to use 16:1. I belive that you could run older D's at 32:1 if you replaced the 2 ring piston with a 3 ring. I need help! TIA!:thThumbsU

It's the other way around. Swap the 3 ringer for a 2 ring piston and connecting rod.

Nice machines btw...I have the little brother to your 7256, the 5235, and I also have a 6255. I'd love a 7256 someday for a matched set.

Piston makes no difference, the bearings make all the difference. Also, the oils of today are much more efficient than what was available back in the 60's and 70's. I run all my 16:1 machines on 32:1 and have never had a single problem.
