Hi lorraine984, does your engine/tractor have an low oil pressure warning / shutdown system? I had a Husqvana with a 20 hp Kohler Courage single and from new it never had over 25 PSI oil pressure like you I wondered about it and asked the dealer and the maintenance tech told me that was good, so that's what it had and still has I sure, as posted the Courage singles are not good engine, but I've heard (n0 first hand experience) that the V twins are a better engine.
