Is their a different brand oil filter than the regular kohler one for my kohler courage 26hp engine, that i could get at walmart or the auto parts store?

Any auto parts store should have a source for small engine parts including filters. Probably even in common brands like WIX and Fram ect. You can take those part #'s and cross them to whatever Walmart has I guess.
