Is there a cross referencing guide available for gravely oil filters?
I'm just about complete on a dress up on my '69, but I'd love to have a guide/table for all the gravely creatures.

I've always used the Frams (tough guard and extra guard) with success. When I recently went to K-Mart, I discovered they weren't carrying Fram any longer, but were stocking Purolator - so I went with that. No problems so far. There are several threads out there on the "best" oil filter, but I have to believe that almost anything sold today is better than ANYTHING (filter wise) sold in 1969.

The filter thread is now stuck. Thanks for digging that one up. :fing32:

I use Wix on all of my stuff. If I remember correctly, the NAPA Gold filters are made by Wix.

Yup, NAPA Gold are made by wix. And Bluegoose is right as well -- pretty much all filters made today are better than those made in 1968. Materials science has come a long way.
