Oh! Oh! I saw this Snoco today and I stopped and talked to the owner. Not for sale.

He was helping someone move and I was driving by and had to stop and talk to the guy. It has been sitting outside a few years by a barn but is in EXCELLENT shape. The guy is keeping it nice, with a few modifications like bigger tires, but it is a great little find. I have had a permanent search on Ebay for more than a year, and nothing but paperwork items.
Been mad over one since seeing an Allis Chalmers Tow Bee ad on Simple Tractors and have been looking for one of these since then. I need a Tow Bee, or clone since seeing it to make my life complete.

Sears had their version for the Suburbans, too.
You know, I think I may know where there is a Snoco here in NH.

You can barely see it in these pictures, on the other side of the canoe - I went to pick up a 1960 Corvette frame from this guy's house to bring it to the buyer in Mass and while I was loading it up I noticed the trailer off to the side. The guy has a bunch of stuff. I think I have his phone number, still.

Probably kind of far to go, IF it is even for sale.

I don't see a trailer on the other side of the canoe.
Yeah, I know, really poor pictures because I wasn't trying to include it.

Here I've cropped and blown up the two pictures. The first one is really only only good enough to tell the color and shape (including the shield on the front) but on the second one you can see the fender and part of the perforated deck.

Looks to have been painted JD colors - don't know if it was an original JD accessory or not.
Great price, though. Someone should buy it!

How much are you looking to pay for a trailer like the green and yellow one, and what town in IL would it be going to?
I'll keep my eyes open for you. Yeah, you're about 1,100 miles away from this one so transportation cost would probably be... prohibitive.
Still too far, but for reference:

^ Agreed. I thought it was notable for actually saying Wheel Horse on the ID tag, though. Might be a reasonable price to a WH guy looking for a classy and period correct way to transport his show rig.
This one is in PA. Looks like it might be one that has the tilt and swivel option so you can drive-on, drive-off? I think that's why the deck has a bevel on both the front and the back.
Model #SM-972 which isn't listed on any of the paperwork I've found so far.

Price is a little high but not totally out of line.

1970 snowco tilt trailer for john deere - $200 (auburn MA)

these trailers were built for john deere snowmobiles back in the day,if you bought a jd sled you got one of these to go with it.The measurements are 42" wide by 7' 11" From the research ive done these are fairly collectible trailers -they actually had a giant fiberglass cover as an option with the green paint and flyin deere emblem. She has a few issues to many for me to deal with right now -need the cash more than the trailer.THE GOOD-deck is solid and intact the tounge and hitch seem to be fine-the axle is a little rusty but solid and so are the rims -bearings spin freely..THEBAD- springs are shot both are broken(northern tool 13.99 each) tires are shot, dicks tire in charlton has a brand new pair for 27dollars and change each -and the small clip that holds the trailer from tilting needs a little welding(see pics) both fenders are dented and tweaked but definitely salvageable So.. if you have a vintage sled and want a vintage trailer to go with it this is the one! I dont think you will see another like it 200 obo or I will consider trades for any 69' sears custom tractor or parts for it and cash

I've seen that "history of small trailers" website before. While I agree that the Snowcos require more attention to where your C/G is than others due to the axle placement, I think he has a hair across his bum or an axe to grind, for whatever reason.
