Feeling sorry for the Robins. Here in North Central Michigan we received about two inches of snow overnight and throughout the day.

There were seven of our state birds trying to find something to eat in our front yard this afternoon. They are ground feeders, primarily ground worms.

My heart goes out to them. I pray that they survive the next couple of weeks.

Although not many, we see robins occasionally through the winter here.
In addition to worms in spring, summer and fall, they also feed on snails, crickets and grasshoppers, as well as berries, seeds and nuts, and are actually hearty and resourceful enough to get through winter weather.
Your robins should get by just fine wooserco. (y)

We have one early bird robin so far. I hear it chirping but haven't seen it yet. They usually arrive in flocks. The others can't be far behind.
