thank you for the reply's makes a person feel welcomed. Well me and a buddy are kinda changing what were using were trying it on a joe blow budget of today. I wish i could do like the gentlemen did in the long thread i drank a 2 pots of coffee reading it lol lol lol.... Any suggestions on how we should approach this with keeping the mower available to use like like any other poor joe blow doing it on a budgeti will gladly accept and take into consideration. I thought the gt 18 would be a good choice i have seen were people are saying that its not wise to put a fel on it...... i am also going to do the other motor i have with a complete rebuild but 10 over

Welcome! I would suggest that you try to find a dedicated mower for grass, and keep this one just for the FEL. User A1CNC has a factory sears loader and i know that one uses the mower deck mounts for the FEL frame. i have the manuals for it if you want them, PM me with your email address.

It would be tough to build an FEL from scratch on a small/no budget. I've spent more than the purchase price of my tractor, just trying to restore it. My point is that all the little $10-$20 hardware trips add up quick.

Not wanting to be a complete downer, I would suggest keeping an eye out for a used Johnny Bucket or even a mini box blade. If you don't have a specific need to raise up dirt/material, carry it some distance and dump it, a box blade can do as much work.

I'm not sure those GT FEL's will raise high enough to dump in the back of a standard size pickup. I don't even know how much use I could get out of one, but the neato factor is way up there! :trink40:
