Ok, this is my 2nd post here. I looked at the sticky's but could not find the answers to:
What is a CUT?
I understand that it means 'compact utility tractor' but at what point does a CUTractor become a ..... tractor?
Is it determined by weight? by HP? by tire size?????

Some one please educate me.

In the JD line up, 2000, 3000 and 4000 series are all CUTS (the 2305 is a SCUT) and UTs (Utility Tractors) begin with the 5000 series. :)

RobB welcome to MTF... As far as a tractor and being a cut.. its really confusing as i have a JD4520 and its 60hp and its a cut. Sitting beside it i have a JD 70 diesel that rated at 40 hp back in 1955 and its a tractor.. How they figure this out i'm not really sure..
