I was a dealer back then. IIRC, the square-tube mowers came out in 89...maybe 90. They were series 7. I would date the series 5 at about 85 or 86. If it has the original engine and is B&S, the first two digits in the engine code # will be the year the engine was built.
New used mower
Just pchsd a used Snapper rider from an individual who was not sure of it's year. He said he bought it used in 1993 and thought it was a 1988 or 89.The model# is 28085S;S/N is 63034172. Can anyone tell me it's birth date?
