New shed almost done..Picture heavy

Started it fall of '10 and just doing some tweaking now..Header upstairs for the door, safety catch for the stairs, hanger for the 4x4 on the stairs, I was thinking of putting a 2' eyebrow above the rollup door to keep some of the rain out...was going to add a large arbor over the whole front area like 8x22 or a leanto. Did most of myself, only help was one day to help set rafters and main beam and to help sideing and soffit both gables...other than that no other help....

Well done, looks better than professional (because the pros need to make money and can't take the same kind of time a DIY'er can).

But, I'll bite, why is the one corner pylon (left of the pedestrian door) not full up to the floor?

....I drilled an anchor bolt too close to the edge and it cracked..I chipped it down to the ground and repinned to to the footings..it was a a touch short so I put 3 steel shims there..:banghead3

Very nice job. Can you elaborate on the water tank? I want to put gutters on one side of my pole barn to fill a water tank like you have and do a gravity feed into a deep sink..just wondering of thats what you have in mind and looking for ideas.

Actually I have mine plumed and it goes to a water pump so I have pressure..the pump is in the video near the end.

I was just trying things, but what I will do in the spring is run pvc from the gutter, put a T where the tank will be and run 30 feet of PVC under the shed and it will act as a sediment filter for dust and other small particles on the roof there will be a valve at the end of the pvc pipe cracked open a bit so water will drain each time it rains.. I do have screens on the gutters to keep the big stuff out.

Thanks Bucky, civilization in the form of high speed internet hasnt reached us yet so I cant really see video without making a night of it but you have a similar design to what I am envisioning. I dont need pressure (I have a 300 gallon tank and a gas trash pump I throw in the back of one of the farm trucks for pressurized water needs) but I sure was thinking having a deep sink would be handy in the shop.

My idea is to put the tank on a platform and then plumb it much like your sketch except where your bottom spigot is I will have plumbed through the side of the pole barn and into a deep sink with faucet and the sink drain will just go out into a simple leach field in the pasture. We use rain water barrels to divert roof runoff on the farm house and greenhouse to water plants and it works great.

By the way, I have lived in several houses not as nice as your "shed"...your shaming us into stepping up our game!!
