New old snapper 21" walk behind

Got this in payment for doing someones yard. Guessing its 90's vintage. Got it running, and the self propelled working. Didnt have a chute or cover on it so I found an old metal side discharge one used, plan on getting the mulch cover. Curious if anyone can tell me if these work good with a gator blade. Thanks.

they work ok on grass with the gator but these excel at mulching leaves with the gator. that's one of briggs best engines. far better than what you g et today. also these are the best bagger bar none.

Thanks for the reply, thats exactly the info I was looking for. I will get the mulching cover and put the gator on it. Cuts very nice with the factory blade with the 3 holes on the wingtips and side discharge, havent even sharpened it yet.

I looked up the model, its an RP215012, so apparently it was a recycler. Not exactly sure what differences that entails but I decided to order the oregon wavy blade.
