new member with 1973 mtd 960

Glad to see someone bought that tractor. I have been watching it for a while on CL. I think its worth any where from 300 to 700 dollars. BTW welcome to MTF, nice find.

It looks like you have no mower deck, but you do have the pto shield.

I can't tell on your weights - are they plastic or cast?

I'm also not sure on your front wheels - do you have bushings, or hubs with bearings? Kind of looks like I see a lug nut there.

I'd be a bit more conservative and say $250-$450 based on what I see.

The wheel weights are plastic. The front wheels have hubs on them with dual bearings it looks like. Overall a decent tractor i think i even have the original blade for it and the pto.

The blade would be worth another $100-$150.

That thing is tougher than most new tractors less than $5K.
