New member in Missouri

I'm retiring from the Navy this year and my wife has decided she wants horses...so we have 10 acres about an hour southwest of St, Louis. I have a Craftsman garden tractor (54" mower) and am looking at a NH tc21 for our "new" horse property. I'm looking forward to being reined in/chastised for my ignorance in the tractor area, but I am a jet engine power plant mechanic/operator in the Navy.
