Hello,
I’ve stumbled onto your friendly looking forum, similarly as I’ve come into an old Craftsman lawn tractor. (We acquired it with the property we purchased) It is unknown year/model number, LT4000 with vanguard vtwin 16 hp, 42” mower deck, and electric PTO. It seems part was maybe repainted including where the model number should be.

This is the first tractor I’ve owned and managed with some help of a friend and fiddling to get it running after 2+? years unused.
I am decently mechanically inclined, but would love to download a manual to be able to understand a little better, and help me when searching when the next issue needs troubleshooting.

Nice older machine there. Looks to be a late 80's model, they went to a darker grey around 1990. I have never seen one of these with a Vanguard.

That might explain why I can’t find a manual. I had previously tried to search in 80/90s vintage with 42” mower and Briggs-Stratton motor, but none seemed to match here:

Would anyone be able to advise a model number or manual that also has an electric PTO from that era?
The site I’ve tried i don’t think specifies the PTO type in the lookup, so I’m just guessing trying to find the right model.
