I was just given a fairly complete (missing engine and PTO clutch) LS45, SN T1D0548, Component 715694016. It has a 48" deck and is in pretty fair condition other than the seat. I would like to find an owners manual for it, I can get the parts list on-line from one of the dealers I know. Here is the label, I will get some other pictures as I have time and post them on here.

I was able to get the manuals I needed, now I just need to find a muffler, otherwise I will part it out. $500 + for a muffler is a bit steep. PN is 100-3543 Toro or TR100D3543 Ford/New Holland. If anyone has a good used one.

It currently doesn't have one, it was removed to be used on a zero turn. It should be a Kohler CV18S-61515. If I can find something to stick in the Statesman, I will take that Kohler CV20 and use it. Should be able to use the same muffler if I can find one.

I have a muffler off of the kohler that originally came in my LS 55 it is an 18 hp V twin. Sorry don't know the exact model #, just ripped it out because it was seized. Anyhow, the muffler appears to be in fair to good condition. If you are interested I can get the engine specs and you can see if it what you need.

I imagine it would fit, mine says it is an oval muffler, outlet points to left after passing through the screen. If you didn't get rid of the heat shield or reuse it, I would like to get that also, if not, just some good pictures so I can duplicate it. Thanks!

Did you ever get a chance to look at that muffler? If it will fit I would be interested in buying it from you.

As promised a few more pictures of it. These were taken after cleaning it up a bit. The footrest pads were removed for cleaning after I found a good size ant colony under the right one. The hood is in decent shape, but there are a few cracked areas I am repairing.

mech1993, any chance to look at that muffler? I think I will be needing it. I scored a Kohler MV20 for $30 so will have something to stick on the Statesman so I can use the Kohler CV22 on the New Holland.

I did a temporary power of the frame to first verify that the $30 Kohler MV20 I picked up would run and second that the hydro on the New Holland worked.

It took some creative electrical work, the CV18 that belongs on it has a right rear mounted solenoid shift starter, the MV20 has a left rear mounted Bendix drive starter. I was able to use a pair of holes in the firewall to mount a starter relay, and so I wouldn't cut up the factory harness, added a short double female push on terminal section to the blue start wire. It isn't pretty, but it works.

Both tests were a success!
