New guy with question on mower size...
I have an IH 784 which I am told is about 60 HP.
I think the 6 ft. mower is the usual choice, but would a 5 ft. give me problems. I'm considering using it in tight spaces as opposed to open pasture.

That's kind of what started me wondering. I have seen ads that listed minimum and maximum HP ratings on some mowers. Thanks, sir.Actually...
that in many cases the gearbox on those smaller mowers is only rated to about 45HP
I picked up a six foot mower, and from what I can see it's going to be fine for my needs. Thanks to all for the help.
