Well guys, I am now the proud new owner of a GT5000...Finally...I finally found one at the right price...$650...Now all I need to do is get it hooked up with some of the mods I've seen here on the forum....

I wish it were a hydro...but for the price I couldn't pass it up...It has it's flaws and has been used but it is the cleanest I have seen this age and price.
Can anyone enlighten me as to about what year it is? The previous owner says it is a 2007 but I have my doubts.
OK the first six on the serial# are 100203...So I take it to read as Oct 02, 2003... Is that right?

On the engine I see: Model # 40H777 - Type 0241E1 - Code 030826YG...So would that be Aug 26, 2003 ??
I was kinda figuring he was before I bought it...Still in such good condition and the price...I still think I got a steal...
mxdriver,
You have the same model? Does yours turn sharper to the left than the right? I can get about a 20-24 inch radius turning left and about a 48 inch radius turning right...Is this normal or should I go digging for a potential problem?
Yea it has the cast iron axle...Steering wheel is straight to the direction of travel straight...I'll have to get under it and take a looksee...
OK I took a good look tonite. It all looks good as far as what I see on your pic, mine is the same with the sector gear centered. I get full swing on the sector gear both ways sitting still in the garage but driving it I get less right turn. Makes me curious. When I turn left I get 3/4 turn from center on the steering wheel. The steering wheel top is now at 2 o'clock. When I turn the wheel to the right I get 2/3 turn from center and the wheel top is now at 8:30 o'clock.
