my jacobsen mower (disc blade) with a brand new pressure washer motor leaks something when it sits,i dont see where its been leaking because its no on the blade and the motor doesn't have any sings of where its been leaking.ill check the gas over the night and see if thats what it is.is it true that a new motor will leak until its been run long enough to get everything situated? if thats true then ill just keep a close eye on it.

No new engine shouldn't leak fuel into the motor....
Pull the dip stick and sniff it, if it smells like gas, then it leaking by the needle and seat. Fix the leak and dump the gasoline diluted oil. If you don`t have a dip stick see if the oil level has gotten higher. Enough gas in the oil will ruin a motor.

its gas,and its been leaking though the muffler some how...would the climate change (from 30 to 69 in one day) affect the seals and do somthing like this?

If its coming out of the muffler you have a bad needle or seat. The funny thing is that we have a pressure washer with a B&S 6.5hp on it and it did the exact same thing. Cylinder filled full of gas after sitting, locked up the motor and led to the need for a teardown. Keep in mind this thing was brand new, and locked up on the second use. We didnt mind because we got it for free from the original owner who didnt want to mess with it. Sucks when a brand new machine has issues though. I'd say drain all of the oil out of it, replace needle and seat, pull the plug and make sure the cylinder is free and clear of fuel, lube it very well and turn it over a few times with the plug out, replace plug, refill oil and be on your merry way.

Yep. It should need a needle/ seat. Also check that the float is good. If you can see visible fluid in the float or can shake it and hear something in it, replace it.

If it has been leaking out of the muffler, I'd also pull the spark plug and pull the engine over a few times without the spark plug installed in order to clear the cylinder.

after the clean-out, also put a shutoff on the fuel line(if the motor allows it, some dont...tank mount carb)

You asked if a new motor had to be run to get everything to "seat properly". He was responding to that question, I think.
