Need: steering wheel and starter

I might be able to help you. Ill have to look at the starter and see what it is. I do have he oem steeringwheel and starter off the 73 ss12. Its still mounted to the old tec engine but ill check it out for you tomorrow

I too one end off and sprayed with electronics cleaner real good. All kinds of black dust (magnet dust?) came out but nothing changed.

Thanks Plow! I couldn't have it rebuilt in town for that price. I'll order one tomorrow.

I might take it further apart since i'm buying a new one (doesn't matter if I destroy it.)

C&s. Yes i have the wheel for sure. 3 spoke with 3/4" keyed shaft size. I cant see any numbers on the starter. But its on a tec and im not sure it would work. Lmk what you think.

tec starter wont work on a onan

Figured as much. That looks like a decent price in Plows link though.

I got 2 used onan starters, I bought them from my uncle who had a bunch of sears and sold out, so I dont know the story about them but worked when I hit power to them...
