Hi; I have a White 1850 circa. 2002
That is (of course) built by MTD.
I use it on some hilly ground and have had some hard pulling moments that make me think I should consider replacing the tranny fluid.

It's a little slower than it was when I bought it. I understand the whole "sealed unit" business and would like to know a few things.

Can anyone tell me which hydro is in this unit?

I was considering sucking the fluid out from a vent (provided it has one)
measuring and replacing - your thoughts?

Would I be better off pressurizing with air , drilling and tapping the case? If so where?

I don't know the recommended oil for this unit, 20-50 / 10-40 etc?

Appreciate your thoughts on this.
