I have a 1250 or 1455 that I would like to put a Johnson 14 Workhorse loader onto. There was a loader on the 1250 at one time that was taken off and put onto an HT23, with no modifications I might add. Measureing from the rear most bolt in the steering bridge to the front most bolt in the front bolster I am seeing 2-1/4" shorter on the 1250 than a large frame like the HT-23 would be or an 1886. How can this loader fit both machines with the difference in length? Stumpped in NY.

I am wondering at this point, if whomever changed it for you changed the side braces. In the pic's that you sent I did not see any evidence of fresh welding or paint. I will get to the bottom of this sooner or later. Did the person that changed it over have his own repair shop. Maybe just ask him would be the best thing to do.

Well you did better than me because I am still trying to get them. It is my understanding that the same loader that is on KenNJ HT-23 came off my restored 1250 and nothing was changed to have it fit either machine.

I haven't talked to the guy who did it for me, but I do remember it only took him a few hours to switch it from the 1250 to the HT-23 .. There was absolutely NO cutting or welding when it was done. My only question would be, did he need to drill new holes in the bottom of the frame ? That i'm not sure of.

When I put it on the 1250, it used existing holes and bolts that holds the steering bridge in place, I'm 99 % sure of that

Maybe when you get time you could just take a peek under it to see if any new holes were drilled. If there were some drilled that would indicate that the loader is for a 1250.

Oldbuzzard: Thank you for posting those pic's. I use a computer but know nothing about them.LOL
