Where can I get new lights for my Ford LGT 165 closed side? It is in really good shape but I need to upgrade the old non working lights in the front and rear of the tractor. The rears are just the red ones and I really dont care about those. But I need the front lights for plowing snow in the evenings. Thanks!raying:

If you have a Harbor Freight nearby, Try them. I purchased a pair of halogen headlights and a pair of red taillights for my 140 for about $20. Adapted them without too much trouble. The headlights work great. Plenty of light for snowplowing and the alternator doesn't have any problem keeping up with the current draw.Herb

I got mine at Walmart. Not too difficult to install, and I didn't need to modify the sheet metal.

Well I come to find out that I had a bad light switch. The lights had new bulbs in them so I bought a new switch and everything works. The new switch even has a cool little blue led lit when it is on. I ditched the originaly back lights the sockets were all worn out. I got got some of the 6 led blazer lights at wally world. :woohoo1:

With the halogens you will have an issue if you try to use the pto at the same time, correct? I thought I had heard that.

Starting at PG 43, post #636.

All is fine till the lights and PTO are on then I have a negitive reading on the amp meter.

Plan to add a cut-off on the tail lights which pull 28 watts (4 X 7 watt bulbs) and see if I can mow at night. Tail lights are only needed if I go out on the road.
