My dozer has a Marvel Schebler carb (TSX 827) on it. It was gummed up and would not start (probably from using gas with "corn syrup" in it).

I took it apart, cleaned everything, replaced needle and seat, set float, put back together started right up but only runs with choke closed, push choke in and it stumbles and dies. I took it back apart and noticed that the brass venturi had about 1/8inch gap missing from the bottom flange, just knew this was the problem ordered one from Stenier, the replacement is plastic, put it in yesterday and still have the same problem, only runs on half to full choke.
Carb is getting all the gas it needs, bowl is full.

Any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Take carb apart and soak in lime away, the stuff you clean your bath and shower with. Cleans scum, makes brass spotless. Only draw back, it completely removes oxidation so it will leave pitting on cast parts and if bad enough will eat hole. If that happens, use JB Weld to fix...don't ask!

Sounds like you have a passage or jet still plugged. I use brake cleaner with the straw to blast through all of the passages and jets in a carb to make sure they are clear. Safety glasses are a must when doing this, as the stuff goes everywhere at times. When I'm done, though, every passage is clear and the carb works as it should.
