:howdy: I am working on a Sears SS/16 Twin, MN: 917.25882. Someone replaced the choke cable and it is a foot to long. Sears parts shows the cable as 2754R, which I assume is a AYP PN. No luck in finding the lenght. If someone could help me out on the correct lenght. So I can cut and modify this one to work. It will be greatly appeciated. Thank you for your time. :smilie_fl

I don't have input on the specific length, but why not mount the choke cable on the dash actuator and feed the cable to the engine, locate the mount on the engine and carb and cut using the tractor as a template.

Use good quality diagonal cutters. Leave plenty of slack. with the cable installed but the end passing by where it's supposed to connect, eyeball and cut the whole thing. Back the inner cable up a few inches. Cut the outer jacket to length. Push the inner cable back in all the way so it protrudes and stops fully in. Fine tune, leave enough for the Z bend. Oil it. Go slow and take your time. I've done it many times as most of us here have. Make it a little long at first and fine tune up to the correct length.

:howdy: Thank you both, for your replies. I took some of the advise from both of you and have it shorten, added the z end and it is working fine. :smilie_fl
