Need a little advice. In my search to replace my STX38... $2300 for an 04 LX280???
I have been monitoring Craigslist daily in the 6 states that I cover. Went to an auction last Sunday, and stopped by every Deere dealer that I could find in the last 2 months.
The working mechanics of the tractor are important to me, but so are the cosmetics.
Today I ran across a 04 LX280, 42" Freedom deck and under 200 hrs. It wasn't outside in the rain but indoors next to the new ones and it is absolutely spotless. Not a scratch, scrape, dent... I looked underneath and the frame was clean as well as the deck.
Dealer is asking $2600 were haggled a bit to $2300. I'm going to sleep on it before I head home in the AM. (I can throw it in the back of my truck!)
