Joining the fun. I have one of the 1st releases of the 44" Cub Cadet ZForce of 2003 with the 18HP Intek. I replaced the useless storage/cup holder with a gas tank to keep the weight even.
Its been great and she is due for a refurb, spindles, idlers, 2nd set of belts.
All she has needed is one set of belts, two sets of blades, the usual tune ups and routine maintenance.
Amazingly I just adjusted the valves last year!
I am a do it your selfer and hope to find the best parts resources.
I mow a 1/2 acre parcel of very healthy Fescue every 5 days Late March thru Nov.
