Hey there experts!

Can you identify this Lawn Boy?
http://www.flickr.com/photos/[email protected]/6691768863/in/set-72157628856940009

The swath is either 19" or 20" (I don't know if you measure the blade length or the deck diameter.)

I've looked the engine/carb/deck over, and can find no numbers anywhere on it. I would like to know the model number for personal interest, and so I can get some service literature.

Thank you

I've seen that deck before, but I don't remember what it was. It wasn't a Lawn Boy. Frankenmower vote #2. Good find on the engine.

I don't know the model# but it looks like one of the Canadian models. They were a bit different than the ones sold here in the states.

I've seen one like it on this forum over the years but I can't seem to find it in the search...

I think that was a Canadian only mower if I remember right, a member from Canada posted a question asking about one that he had acquired about a year ago. I don't think we ever figured out what model it was called though. Our best bet at coming up with a model number is IMAlawnboyfreak, he remembers everything.

For ordering parts for the engine you can use model number 5024, I am pretty sure that your engine is a D433 and the 5024/7024
along with most of the bricks of the mid to late 70's had that same engine.
I think this is correct. Canadian Frankenmower vote #3.
Deck looks durable, wheels look Canadian.
Clean her up. Repaint, rebuild it.
Looks to be worth the effort. :fing32:

I recall one showing up on here late last summer I think... Maybe dig through the pictures thread? I thought it was in a line of other models...

One more vote for Canadian! Definitely a D-400 series engine. I know the staggered wheel Canadian one was a model 3060...not sure about the 4-square. That's a 20" blade by the way.

On a couple of my bricktops the model number was stamped into the flaps of the shroud that go over the head fins, have a close look it might not jump out at you at first.

I like the body, i always like the unusual.

edit.
In New Zealand the plastic carby air cleaner was the D500 series which we had on mowers but in USA they were on snow blowers

Consensus seems to be Canadian Frankenmower so far. Thanks for all the replies.

Thanks. The deck doesn’t tickle you though?

That will be useful, thank you.

I might do that eventually. You can see someone already gave a shot at re-greening.
“dig through the pictures thread?”- LawnboyKS
Thanks for the tip.
