My latest find beside the road was a YTH2242 Husq with only 200 hours
It's not a creampuff but for free it is great!
The wires where the engine plugs into the mower harness have all been torn out on both sides of the plug.
The wires are mouse eaten and burned up.
I removed all the upper covers from the motor and cleaned all the mouse nest, grass and bugs with air gun.
If someone has close-up pics of the plug and wires near the starter a look at them would help me a lot.
Deck needs some work and a few parts but I guess that can be expected.
The motor has only 200 hours and runs perfect.
Transmission seems to work ok.

It's been a while but I finally found time to get my deck back together.
I had to put all new parts on it except idler pulleys but it came out nice.

I have a slight loss of power under load with deck engaged and at maximum
speed with hydro trans.

Any thoughts on that would be appreciated.

I would think that as normal with deck running and max speed. Probably going faster than you should with deck engaged. jmo :trink40:

So you are saying that tractor is not really intended to cut at maximum travel speed?
You might be right, I have never had one that moves as fast as this one.:thanku:

That is correct. a little slower and you will get a better cut also.:fing32:

That is my problem. Going at top speed is so fun but the cut suffers. Oh well.

The mower was two driveways down from my work driveway and it was about 11:00pm when I saw it.
It had a sign on it "take me", I went straight back and got truck from boss and
loaded it up.
The pic is of when I first got it, note the busted spindle (both) and the position of deck.
The front deck hangar bracket was bent and the linkage rod missing.

The deck wheel was touching rear wheel and the wires were all mouse eaten including one of plug wires.
