My new tractor lift

I have been looking at ways to lift my tractor both quickly and easily up to a comfortable working height. My present method is time consuming and not that safe. My back will not allow me to crawl around or bend over to work and there is alot of work to be done to finish my "glorified wheelbarrow " . The options I have seen so far were either too big or too expensive and when not in use would take up alot of room and because of there weight would be next to impossible for me to move.

I think I have found my answer with a high lift motorcycle stand from Harbor Freight. I got it for 125.00 because it was an open box returned item that was already put together, I saved 75.00. I tried it out today and it worked perfect . It is very stable feeling ,but if was going to be doing alot of heavy work on or under it I would place my heady duty adjustable work supports under it just for safety. It can lift 1100lbs to any level between 3" and 30" and only weighs 130lbs. It also has a solid safety pin that can be inserted in the main tube at 15"&30" to take the load off the hydraulic cylinder . It sits in the garage bay I have for the tractor and I can just pull up and park right on top of it but, if it is nice out like today I can place it outside to work in the driveway.

So far I made a metal top for it so when not in use it can be used as a workbench or even a welding table. It will also be useful for servicing the snowblower, generator and push mower.

No more crouching for me !

Hey man, no matter how old, young we are, bending over these machine is a job better suited for Santa's elves. Here was my IH Cub Cadet 100 tractor lift that cost me zero dollars and served it's purpose well. Nice envestment on your part! I got a wopper of a deal for the tractor.

Congrats and a very nice lift. slkpk
And at a good price!!! :trink40: What is the other jack underneath for? Some help for the weight? Or to keep unit from tipping over.
Nice unit at a great price!

Like you said, it will definitely beat crouching. :fing32:

I was just lifting up an end to put a shim under it becasue the driveway is anything but level. The lift handled the weight no problem at all.
Thanks for posting that, it looks to be a very helpful tool. Could you post a picture of it not in use? How big of a footprint does it take up when not in use?
That is sweet.
I could sure make good use of one of those.

It's footprint is 24"w x 48" L at the base and the handle portion is 38" tall.
I could find a spot for that, me thinks. Thanks for the info.
